Elementary School Teacher

 

Employer: Self Development Charter School
Position Location: Mesa, Arizona
Position: Elementary School Teacher (Grades 1-6)

Job Duties:

1. Documenting curriculum and Lesson Planning for grades 1 to 6
2. Participate in interactive teaching and learning sessions for grades 1 to 6
3. Oversee tutoring clubs for grades 3 and 4
4. Conducting Technology, arts and general music session
5. Provide daily communication with parents and parent teacher conferences
6. Counsel Students and Parents when needed
7. Participate in the research and development for Differentiated Instructions of young children
8. Planning and implementing Formative and Summative Assessments, which include overseeing state American Association of School Administrators (AASA) assessment
9. Leading the online platform of learning and training school staff for the same

Salary: Available upon request
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week

Job Requirements:

Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Education, or closely related. Employer will accept foreign equivalent degree, or U.S. bachelors degree equivalency based on combination of two or more foreign degrees.

Experience Requirements: 5 years of experience in job offered, Class Teacher, Educator, K.G. Teacher, Sr. Executive- A.R.T., or closely related.

Special skills requirements:

1. Teaching. Lesson planning and curriculum development for Grades 1 to 3
2. Developing hands-on teaching/learning methods and learning aids
3. Planning and implementing IT based lessons with Elementary school children
4. Counseling children under her care, both academically and otherwise
5. Building the home/school connect through home visits to children
6. Attending training workshops for updating on current pedagogies in education
7. Conducting remedial sessions for students after school to enhance the learning of children in need of such service
8. Educator for Grades 1 to 6
9. Organizing and taking parent teacher meetings regularly as part of the school policy
10. Overall classroom responsibilities like documenting and maintaining student profiles, teachers’ work, library documents and worksheet files
11. Must have or be able to obtain a Standard Early Childhood Education, Birth through Age 8 or Grade 3 Certificate from the Arizona Department of Education
